Hello
I’m Marika MacRae, and I’ve dedicated my life to education and empowering others through learning. I was raised in Haiti, a country rich in culture and resilience, where I spent years teaching both high school and university students. Education has always been my passion—it’s incredible to see the confidence and opportunities that learning can bring to someone’s life.
My Story
In Haiti, I also have a nonprofit organization that supports children with disabilities. This work was close to my heart, as it allowed me to create a safe space where every child could thrive and reach their full potential.
A few years ago, due to the difficult political situation in my homeland, I made the tough decision to leave Haiti. It wasn’t easy to say goodbye to the place I called home for so long, but I knew I wanted to continue doing what I love: teaching and making a difference in people’s lives.
Now living permanently in Canada, I’ve brought my passion for education with me. Through Macrae Institute, I focus on teaching French and English as Second Languages to students of all ages and levels. Whether it’s helping a child build a strong foundation or guiding an adult toward fluency, I believe that language is a bridge to connection and opportunity.
This journey has taught me resilience and the value of following your heart. I’m so grateful to continue this work, and I look forward to helping you or your loved ones achieve your language goals!
